Have you observed a dolphins’ sleek, intelligent beauty and playful serenity?
Put yourself on the beach at Ho’okena, just south of the famous Kailua-Kona.
Shaded by the Haole Kamani, or white almond trees on this calm bay, gaze out over the ocean. Off the coast, in the bay, is a pod of dolphins, spinning, jumping, and otherwise entertaining those on shore. The dolphins, one of the most intelligent life forms on this planet, are a treat to behold.

Dolphins love to love. They spin and play, leaping in and out of the water. It is important to us and to many fellow caretakers on the island to keep our respectful distance from them. Being in the water, even quite a ways from them, you can still sometimes hear their underwater clicks, chirps, and calls to one another. Many of our guests say that being in the dolphins’ presence was one of the most magical experiences of their lives.
